In this tutorial we will explain how to create a new/second root user login/account in cPanel. Creating a new/second root user login/account in cPanel is pretty easy. All you need to have is a WHM access. As a first step you will need to log in to WHM. The URL that you need to enter in your web browser is usually:
https://your_IP_address:2087 and you will be presented with the following login screen:
Once you log in you will need to create a regular user (cPanel) account in WHM. To do that type “create a new account” in the search filed located at the top left corner:
and click on “Create a New Account” located under “Account Functions”
On the next screen fill up all the info for the new user and click on the “Create” button.
This will create the new user. (in this tutorial we name it vpsineu, but you can use any username you want)
Now, once the user is created, in the search filed located at the top left corner type “reseller center“:
And click on the “Reseller Center” link located under “Resellers”
On the next screen from the “Add Reseller Privileges” drop down select the new created user (vpsineu in our case) and click OK:
Next, in the search field type “reseller“:
Once you click the “Edit Reseller Nameservers and Privileges” link on the right side on the screen select the new created account (in our case vpsineu) and click the “Submit” button:
Once the “All Features (Warning: total and complete access)” is selected click on the “Save All Settings” button.
That’s it. Now the new created user has full ROOT access to WHM/cPanel.
