How to upgrade your VPS cPanel/WHM version from command line?
In this very short tutorial we will show you how to upgrade your VPS cPanel/WHM version from command line.

To start with the upgrade you will need to log in to your VPS as ROOT via SSH. Once you are in the first thing you need to do is to downloads the package lists from the repositories and “update” them to get information on the newest versions of packages and their dependencies.

This step is not necessary but it is always a good practice to be done. To do that just type:

yum update

After that to start with the actual WHM/cPanel upgrade just type:

/scripts/upcp –force

Once the upgrade is done, just in case, you can reboot your system, but it is not necessary.
